Arsenal targeting Norwegian starlet

Arsenal are battling at the top of the Premier League and are regarded as the main challengers to Liverpool in the title race. While Mikel Arteta’s side are doing everything they can to keep up with the league leaders, they are also active in the transfer market.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have long hoped to secure the Norwegian starlet Sverre Nypan during the January window. The 18-year-old midfielder has been outstanding for Rosenborg, attracting interest from several European clubs.

Arsenal in talks with Rosenborg

The Athletic reports that Arsenal have been in discussions with Rosenborg regarding a transfer, but it now appears that Nypan will remain in Trondheim for the rest of the season. His current contract with Rosenborg runs until the end of 2026.

However, Arsenal are not the only club interested. Aston Villa and Spanish side Girona have also been closely monitoring the midfield talent.
