Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool expires in June, and the English international right-back is frequently linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants even attempted to sign him during the January transfer window but were rejected despite making multiple bids.

The 26-year-old defender has reportedly already signed an agreement with Real Madrid, which will take effect in the summer of 2025.

However, Liverpool have not given up hope of keeping their star full-back.

The Reds are reportedly unable to match the financial package that Real Madrid can offer, so they are instead focusing on an emotional appeal.

According to the Spanish sports newspaper AS, Liverpool hope that the Anfield atmosphere will persuade Alexander-Arnold to reconsider his decision, as leaving would mark the end of a trophy-laden career with the club.

Liverpool are currently in a strong position, leading both the Premier League and Champions League with a nearly full-strength squad.

Alexander-Arnold has made 248 Premier League appearances for The Reds so far, but signs suggest that his time at the club could soon be coming to an end.

Since making his international debut in 2018, he has also earned 33 caps for England.
