According to Football London, Arsenal has now given up hope of winning the Premier League this season.
The Gunners secured a dominant 5-1 victory against Manchester City on Sunday evening, but journalist Lee Wilmot of Football London suggests that Arsenal’s title hopes are slipping away from Mikel Arteta’s grasp.

One of the main reasons is the club’s inactivity in the recently closed transfer window, despite Arteta’s repeated calls for reinforcements.
– My opinion is clear: we lost two very, very important players, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. We lack goals, we lack players – especially in the attack. Ideally, we should have strengthened the squad when we lost them. We already had several injuries, and now our squad is even thinner. Yet, the team keeps pushing forward, Arteta stated recently.

Big Moves Expected in the Summer
Arsenal is expected to be active in the summer transfer market. Players like Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyökeres, and Alexander Isak are reportedly on their radar. However, as Football London points out, these reinforcements won’t help in this season’s title race. Arsenal needed new signings in January – but they failed to act.

Injury Updates on Arsenal Stars
At today’s press conference, Arteta confirmed that both Bukayo Saka and Ben White are still some way off returning. However, White might be available for Arsenal’s next Premier League match. Gabriel Jesus, on the other hand, is out for the rest of the season with a severe ACL injury.
