Arsenal humiliate Manchester City
Arsenal demonstrated at Emirates Stadium that there is currently a clear gap in quality between them and Manchester City.

Throughout the first half, Mikel Arteta’s men were the better team, but they couldn’t add to their lead. Shortly after the break, Erling Haaland equalised for City. The Norwegian striker rose highest in the box and headed past David Raya to make it 1-1.

Only moments later, Phil Foden made a major error in possession. The ball fell to Thomas Partey, who had plenty of space, and his deflected shot found the back of the net. From there, it was one-way traffic.
18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly extended the lead to 3-1 with a fine goal before Kai Havertz finished off a counterattack to make it 4-1. Earlier in the game, he had missed a massive chance, sending the ball well wide.

From that point, there was no contest left, and City’s players looked completely deflated. In stoppage time, Ethan Nwaneri sealed the rout with a goal to make it 5-1.
With three points secured, Arsenal keep the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the table.
